About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required License: State license in Michigan required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Telemetry monitoring experience, Cerner experience Description: Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs, telemetry, and critical metrics. Perform regular assessments, recognize subtle changes in patient conditions, and initiate necessary interventions or life-saving measures. Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered. Care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or those with complex conditions (e.g., ventilator patients, stroke patients requiring neuro checks). Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Educate patients and families on diseases, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of nursing care and patient responses.
