Chief Estimator

Rosendin invites candidates to join as Chief Estimator, overseeing the estimating program and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Roles & Responsibilities Manage department functions: budgets, staffing, wage reviews, assignments, performance evaluations, bid results, and archives. Implement and maintain corporate estimating procedures and use the corporate computer estimating system and database. Assist Executives, Business Development, and Project Management to select projects, strategies, and techniques. Review final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness before formal quotation. Review scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects. Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients; may be responsible for closing the sale. Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, and other required tasks. Assist in preparation of studies, materials, methods, recommendations, and cost estimates. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in facility construction estimating and related functions. Advanced management or technical training preferred. Strong organizational, supervisory, and decision‑making/problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern computer estimating systems. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities. Strong oral and written communication skills. Self‑motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team. Professional interaction skills with all employee levels, vendors, and clients. Competencies Leadership Quality Travel & Working Conditions Travel up to 10% of the time. Work involves sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs. Indoor environment with variable lighting and temperature. Noise level usually low to medium, may be louder at job sites.
