U.S. Only: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z and other applicable regulations; a Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry is required. Responsibilities Act as the primary client contact to uncover financial needs and provide holistic banking and investment solutions in compliance with regulatory policies. Collaborate with BMO partners, COIs, and the community to build relationships, acquire new clients, and grow overall assets under management (AUM). Work collaboratively with Financial Advisors for clients with more complex financial needs. Proactively manage assigned customer portfolio to identify needs, provide solutions, and uncover additional sales opportunities. Make product, pricing, and service recommendations and connect customers with appropriate experts. Achieve sales targets by acquiring new assets from existing portfolios and new client acquisition. Introduce and guide clients to use digital platforms and promote adoption of digital features. Develop, maintain, and execute a business plan, including sales strategies, to achieve objectives. Identify short and long term value creation opportunities for target customer segments. Participate in community activities to identify prospects and build referral relationships. Coordinate outreach for seminars, campaigns, or client events. Build strategic relationships with key client stakeholders to become a trusted advisor. Source new revenue and investments through client acquisition and deepening existing relationships. Deliver consistent client service using established playbook and guidelines. Support client onboarding, documentation, and service delivery. Escalate complex or unresolved client situations and complaints. Develop solid product knowledge and financial expertise for an assigned portfolio of products. Support the execution of strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders. Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor sales and service performance against plan, identify gaps, and implement action plans. Provide individual and group training to mentor and coach branch personnel. Review credit applications, ensure sound credit granting principles, and recommend remedies to maintain asset and credit quality. Follow security and safeguarding procedures and apply due diligence in accordance with the Bank's policies. Maintain confidentiality of customer and Bank information in compliance with policy. Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service. Conduct quality customer review meetings for retention and expansion. Work independently on complex tasks and take measured risks within the risk management framework. Qualifications 3+ years of relevant experience in a financial services organization. Post-secondary degree in a related field preferred, not required. Proven experience demonstrating knowledge of banking products, pricing strategies, and profitability management. Required licensing: SIE Exam, Series 6, 63, 65, state Life and Health insurance licenses; Preferred: Series 7, 66, or 65. Licenses not currently held must be achieved within 120 days of the role start date. Advanced understanding of deposits, loans (including mortgage), cash flow analysis, lending process, credit risk policies, and bank practices. In-depth understanding of brokerage and insurance products. In-depth knowledge of business services, including retirement plans, business banking solutions, insurance, and succession planning. In-depth understanding of personal trust and investment management. In-depth knowledge of client portfolio management. Technical proficiency: Intermediate level in Financial Needs Discovery, Product & Solution Design, and Investment & Insurance Advisory Products; Advanced level in Deposit & Cash Management, Lending & Credit, Prospecting & Acquisition, Sales Strategy & Execution, Advisory & Communication, Client Onboarding & Retention, Portfolio & Relationship Management, Risk & Compliance, Learning Agility, Collaboration. Compensation Salary range: $57,500.00 - $106,500.00 (salaried). Potential commission structure may apply.
