About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - RN - ACLS - BLS - Telemetry Description: 2 years of experience in a hospital setting is required. Candidates must have an active RN license. The unit consists of 47 beds, with 23 semi-private rooms and 1 private room. The patient staff ratios are typically 1:5, but can stretch to 1:6. Typical equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, Bladder Scanners, EKGs, Chest Tubes, Dinamaps, and Vein Finders. The EMR system is Meditech Expanse. Best personality fit includes being a team player, hard-working, multi-tasker, and flexible. Floating areas may include Med-Surg Units and other areas of the hospital if patients are overflowing, but will involve the same patient types. Preferred skills include surgical bariatrics, cardiac experience, vascular surgery, and wound vac/dressing changes. Typical conditions cared for include vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, general surgery, telemetry, peripheral vascular disease, sepsis, atherosclerosis, GI bleeds, chest tubes, and arrhythmias.
