Position: Full-Time Activities Aide Department: Activities / Life Enrichment Schedule: Full-Time Reports To: Activities Director Position Summary We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Full-Time Activities Aide to join our team! The Activities Aide helps create a positive, engaging, and meaningful environment for our residents by planning, preparing, and assisting with recreational and social activities that support their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, has a positive attitude, and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with planning, organizing, and leading daily activities and special events. Encourage resident participation in group activities and individual programs. Provide opportunities for socialization, recreation, creativity, and cognitive stimulation. Assist residents with activities based on their individual interests, abilities, and needs. Help decorate and prepare activity areas for holidays, celebrations, and special events. Escort or assist residents to and from activities as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming activity environment. Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Activities Director. Work collaboratively with nursing, dietary, and other departments to support resident care and quality of life. Treat all residents with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion. Qualifications Enjoys working with older adults and making a positive difference. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, compassionate, creative, and dependable. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior care, or a related field is preferred but not required. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must meet applicable facility and employment requirements.
