Direct Support Professional Contract ServicesShift: 18 Hrs per week, 6 Hrs 3 days a week. Hours may increase. Can be a retiree looking to supplement their income.Compensation: $17.50/hourQualificationsMinimum of high school diploma or GEDMust have own reliable transportation and insurance with proofNC driver's licenseFemale required for female client21 years of age or olderBenefitsCompetitive payMedical insurancePaid time offRetirement planLongevity bonus (paid on hire date each year)Growth opportunitiesResponsibilitiesTransport the client to and from the day programAssist client according to his/her person-centered planAssist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style diningAssist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care)Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplementsAssist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without errorAssist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipmentImplement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety proceduresAssist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goalsParticipate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate client's information as directed by supervisory staffAssist and monitor clients during community outingsAssist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activitiesAttend staff development classes as scheduled and successfully complete test required competency testing (Mandt, CPR, first aid, safe van driving, promotion of consumer well being, cultural competency and medication administration)Ensures that the work area and company vehicles are clean, safe, secure, and well maintainedEnsures all required documentation is completed as listed in facility communication book and/or any software systemReports any violations of client rights to supervisory staff immediatelyReports any on the job injury to supervisory staff immediatelyArrives to work on time and leaves the work site at the end of the shift or when the next shift arrivesReports to work on all scheduled days unless absence has been approved by supervisorInteracts with clients in a positive manner and in accordance with clients rights policiesInteracts with parents, guardians, and other visitors in a positive mannerWorks as a team player and interacts in a positive manner with coworkersAdheres to established life, Inc. dress code as it relates to clothing, shoes, jewelry, and nail lengthWe are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
