Gastroenterology Physician

• Flexible Schedule: The need is for 24/7 call coverage across three hospitals. M-F requires two locums for 24-hour shifts, and weekends require one. You must be able to provide at least 5-7 days of availability per month.
• Diverse Responsibilities: You'll handle inpatient GI coverage, rounding, consultations, and procedures. Your daily workload includes approximately 10 new consults and 10 inpatient procedures across all three sites. You will also respond to ER consults, which are typically handled via phone.
• Solo Practice: You will work independently and be responsible for the full scope of your practice, though you will be covering a system with multiple other specialists.
• EMR System: The facility uses Epic for all charting.
• Quick Privileging: The estimated time to secure Temporary Privileges is 60 days, allowing for a quick start.

• Provide 24/7 GI call coverage, including in-house and night call (with a 30-minute response time).
• Perform procedures such as EUS, ERCPs, colonoscopies, and EGDs.
• Round on inpatients, perform consultations, and manage patient follow-ups and discharges.
• Handle transfers from other community hospitals within the system.

• Education: MD or DO.
• Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Skills: Must be able to perform both EUS and ERCPs.
• Licensure: An active Pennsylvania State License is required. We will also consider candidates with an IMLC.
• Certifications: BLS, DEA, and CSR licenses are required.
• Patient Mix: The patient population is 95% adult and 5% pediatric (for adult-sized patients).

• The target start date is November 24, 2025, with an immediate need as soon as privileges are secured.
