Forklift OperatorGeorgia-Pacific is looking for safety-oriented individuals to join our team as a Forklift Operator in our Asheboro, NC Facility.Salary: $22.55 per hour. 2nd shift differential is $2.00 per hour. 3rd shift differential is $1.00 per hour. You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.Shift: Candidates must be flexible and available to work first, second, or third shift as needed. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends. Currently hiring for 2nd AND 3rd shift. Orientation will be on 1st shift (7am-3pm), and you will be assigned your permanent 2nd or 3rd shift after your orientation and training.Shift Hours:1st shift: Monday – Friday 7am-3pm; weekends and overtime as needed2nd shift: Monday – Friday 3pm-11pm; weekends and overtime as needed3rd shift: Monday – Friday 11pm-7am; weekends and overtime as neededWhat You Will Do:Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers while keeping accurate shipment recordSafely operate a 10,000 lb. sit-down forklift to load and unload trailersEnsure loads are properly secured and in good conditionEnsure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipmentsAdhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and proceduresPerform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazardsPull whip and raw material for production supportVerify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperworkPerform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least 8 hours a dayWho You Are (Basic Qualifications):One (1) year or more experience operating a sit-down forklift in a shipping and receiving, loading, production, or manufacturing environmentExperience using computers/tabletsWhat Will Put You Ahead:Experience working in the corrugated industry
