Pay: $26.00–$34.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM , with some flexibility to work earlier hours to support third-shift employees

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join a manufacturing organization in Anderson, Indiana.

This is a hands-on HR position for someone who enjoys working directly with employees and operational leadership. You will support a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, FMLA, onboarding, hourly recruiting, compliance, and safety administration.

This is not strictly a desk-based HR role. The HR Coordinator will have regular interaction with employees and leaders throughout the manufacturing and warehouse environment.

What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day HR administration and maintain confidential employee records
• Serve as an HR resource for employees regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace expectations
• Partner with plant leadership regarding attendance, performance, productivity, and quality
• Assist with coaching and progressive disciplinary documentation
• Support employee relations and workplace concerns
• Manage employee attendance tracking and reporting
• Administer employee benefits and related data entry
• Manage FMLA and employee leave tracking
• Support onboarding and the overall employee lifecycle
• Recruit for hourly manufacturing and operational positions
• Assist with biweekly payroll processing as needed
• Perform OSHA and safety-related administrative and reporting duties
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Utilize HR systems and technology to improve HR processes and the employee experience

What We're Looking For

• 5–8 years of Human Resources experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
• 3+ years of payroll processing and online benefits administration experience
• Employee relations and onboarding experience
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA and EEOC
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information
• Strong emotional intelligence and a proactive approach
• Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• Ability to use Excel to analyze data and support decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

• SHRM-CP certification
• Payroll Specialist certification
• ADP Workforce Now (WFN) experience
• OSHA compliance and safety administration experience
