Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS/PLS)

Our client, a well-established Architecture and Engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS/PLS) to join their El Paso, Texas office. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed survey professional with strong leadership experience and a background in boundary, topographic, construction, and drone-based surveying projects. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, project management capabilities, and the ability to lead and mentor field and office survey teams in a collaborative environment. They are known for delivering high-quality solutions while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment. Operations & Management Lead and assist in field activities. Control survey projects such as: Boundary reviews Topographic mapping ALTA/NSPS assessments Construction spotting Plotting Unmanned aerial vehicle and land-based mapping Manage schedules, deliveries, and quality assurance processes. Technical Duties Supervise and maintain surveying equipment including: Trimble GPS technology Robotic total stations Electronic levels Data collection devices Aerial drones and scanning tools Handle, store, and oversee survey data. Create and review maps and survey reports for government and commercial clients. Assist in computer-aided design drafting using Autodesk Civil 3D and similar programs. Leadership & Growth Coach and educate survey staff to promote technical advancement and project triumph. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company protocols, and quality programs. Work collaboratively with project leaders, engineers, and multidisciplinary groups. Requirements Active Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS/PLS) certification. At least 5 years of surveying experience post-licensure. Thorough knowledge of: Boundary and topographic surveying Construction marking Plot creation Data processing for surveys Experience with: Trimble field devices and software Trimble Business Center Autodesk Civil 3D Microsoft Office Applications Valid driver’s license. Desired Candidate Skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, and managerial abilities. Aptitude for coordinating multiple projects and overseeing field operations in a fast-paced setting.
