Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry
Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15) Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours options
Minimum 2 years clinical RN experience Current NC or Compact license (pending acceptable for submission) Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), NIH (NIHSS listed) Experience with cardiac telemetry, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management Management of high-acuity patients and cardiac/vasoactive drips (no BP titration)
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a cardiac telemetry setting. Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, interpreting dysrhythmias, and managing care accordingly. Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips, ensuring proper protocols are followed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote effective patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Orientation: 3 days (including EPIC training) EKG testing required prior to start Pre-start modules are required (completed online) Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) Candidate must complete lab/testing within 48 hours after signing RTO after booking is restricted; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation
