As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.86 / Hour As part of our hiring process, we would like to remind you that an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is a requirement for this position. Verification of this clearance will be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening process. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges. Alarm Panel Experience (B202) Experience with alarm panel systems is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm system operations and protocols. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Proficiency in using computers or tablets is necessary. Candidates must be comfortable navigating software applications and performing tasks on digital devices. CPR Certification (B205) Candidates must hold a current CPR certification. This certification is vital for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and clients. Customer Service Experience (B219) Previous experience in customer service is required. Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service. Job Schedule: DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AMFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site procedures. Complete accurate daily activity reports and promptly communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to site leadership. Minimum Requirements: Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Hold CPR certification, preferred. Have customer service experience, preferred. Have alarm panel experience, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
