Role Description The Corporate Accountant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with flexibility for partial work-from-home. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Corporate Accountant will assist with financial reporting, cash flow tracking, budgeting support, and variance analysis to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities also include coordinating with external auditors, supporting tax and regulatory filings, and partnering with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a commitment to improving financial processes and controls. Qualifications Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing. Experience supporting financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting. Proficiency with accounting software quickbooks enterprise and strong skills in Microsoft Excel. Understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance requirements related to audits and tax filings. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with onsite and remote team members. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
