Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector is responsible for the meticulous inspection and documentation of high-precision machined metal parts and manufactured sub-assemblies specifically for rotary-wing aircraft. This includes components such as main rotor head parts, bushings, assemblies of bonded or bolted parts, transmission parts, gears, fittings, and other products for helicopter models including Bell and Sikorsky. The role involves conducting first article inspections, receiving inspections, and utilizing GD&T with precision measurement tools, drawings, and blueprints to ensure parts conform to standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process manufacturing inspections.Inspect parts received from third-party machining vendors.Review task cards, blueprints, and documents for scheduled inspection activities.Conduct inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and FaroArm.Coordinate with quality leadership and mechanics to determine necessary follow-up repairs.Use a computer to retrieve files, input data, email, and submit quality and non-conformance reports using Microsoft Office applications.Conduct dimensional inspections, conformity checks, and first article inspections for flight-critical parts.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of quality experience with high-precision machined metal parts or aircraft structural assemblies.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings, and understand GD&T.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications for quality tasks in an aerospace/aviation manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with CMM and FaroArm.Previously held quality control stamp responsibility, validating the quality of parts.Knowledge of AS9102 processes and documentation.Why Work Here?Join a stable company with large forest service contracts and a planned 5-year timeline for production and capability expansion in aircraft manufacturing. The role requires hands-on work in the inspection lab, machine shop, and hangar floor, with over 50% of the time spent walking and standing. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with early dismissal at 2:30 PM on Fridays.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medford, OR.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
