Key Qualifications:

• Current certification in Special Education (with math credits) or valid Teacher of the Handicapped certification with math credits
• Proven experience teaching math in a special education environment preferred
• Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, students, and families
• Committed, energetic approach to meeting the unique learning needs of every student

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging math lessons tailored to the needs of students with disabilities
• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state regulations and school policies
• Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and adjust instruction as needed to maximize growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
