Machine Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow General Shale safety standards and procedures. Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment. Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure minimal unplanned stops. Follow cleaning procedures at the end of each shift. Executing fault finding (trouble shooting) guides. Communicate issues with equipment to the supervisor. Responsible for operating the strap station. Candidate will use a panel view to control the equipment in manual mode to perform set-ups or troubleshoot problems at the equipment. Must display a good working knowledge of all control and monitoring devices such as; photo cells, proximity switches, pneumatic controls and hydraulic controls. EDUCATION: High school WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous experience operating a Columbia or similar block machine preferred. Knowledge on Signode strap and sealing heads is a plus. Mechanical skills Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to work in a team.
