Engineer, Lab Operations Common Equipment Engineer

Position Mechanical Engineer Salary & Location Salary: $124,000.00 - $171,000.00 Location: Santa Clara, CA Responsibilities & Expectations Operates with moderate independence on sub‑fab equipment sustaining pumps, abatement, chillers, HX, heater jackets. Leads portions of tool install projects (e.g., utility verification, pre‑install checks, vendor coordination) with support from senior engineers. Creates and updates Facilities Data Sheets and supports Facilities Service Requests generation with guidance; able to identify missing or inaccurate facility requirements. Demonstrates competence in reading schematics, gas panel layouts, and facilities drawings; performs field verification confidently. Drives troubleshooting of sub‑fab issues, escalating appropriately and coordinating with BU/GWI teams for resolution. Supports small like‑for‑like projects, minor retrofits, and controlled configuration changes with minimal oversight. Helps maintain accurate tool configuration data and participates in YEM prep, restart activities, and tool health checks. Actively contributes to safety, documentation quality, and reduction of build evac events. Expected to grow into full ownership of tool installs and sub‑fab systems as expertise develops.
