MRI Technologist- Main Campus- Full Time

Position Overview Facility: Dayton Children’s – Main CampusDepartment: MRISchedule: Full time, 36 hours per weekJob Details: MRI Technologist responsible for producing quality diagnostic MRI scans on patients of all ages with minimal supervision and strict adherence to departmental quality parameters. Responsibilities Perform and assist the licensed independent practitioner in the completion of MRI radiographic procedures. Prepare, administer, and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state, federal regulations, and institutional policy. Educate patients and parents regarding procedures performed and safety within the MRI department. Participate in hospital-wide mandatory education and maintain CPR certification and ARRT registration. Advocate for individual patient needs and provide considerate, respectful care, affirming patients’ rights to make decisions regarding their medical care. Collaborate with other departments to provide a smooth continuum of care for individual patients. Participate in the on‑call rotation and work with student technologists to ensure a positive learning experience during clinical rotations. Qualifications HSD/GED required. Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology/Sciences or Medical Imaging related discipline. Radiologic License – Ohio Department of Health is preferred. ARRT in Radiography required. ARRT in Magnetic Resonance preferred; registry with CNMT or ARDMS may substitute if already ARRT registered in MR. CPR certification required. Schedule & Compensation Shift: 3 shifts per week, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Every fourth weekend shift: either 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. On‑call rotation as required. Eligible for up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus.
