Additional Information About the Role Barnes Jewish Hospital St. Peters is seeking a Mobile Medical Equipment Technician to join our team covering part time on weekends! Role Purpose The Sterile Equipment Technician performs a variety of central sterile processing functions, which include the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of medical equipment according to specified standards throughout the assigned medical facilities. They are required to maintain and control all assigned equipment and remedy process failures and hazards while maintaining the appropriate and complete records. Responsibilities Follows proper techniques and procedures to ensure the integrity of the sterilization process. Performs medical equipment decontamination from designated area procedures according to specified standards. Remedy equipment and process failures. Maintain and control records in central software. BJC has determined this is a safety‑sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
