Procurement Project Manager

DescriptionKforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to lead strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across technology, COE, professional services, marketing, production, and other business categories. This is a contract position fully on site in midtown Manhattan. This role will manage end-to-end procurement efforts, from opportunity identification and stakeholder alignment through contract execution, supplier optimization, and value realization.Summary:The Project Manager will partner closely with senior leaders across finance, legal, operations, and business units to align priorities, build consensus, and drive measurable outcomes. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, analyzing complex data sets, identifying cost savings opportunities, supporting supplier risk and compliance efforts, and improving procurement processes through technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.This position requires strong project ownership, executive-level communication, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. The role is 5 days onsite in New York City.Requirements* Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred* 8-10 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, category management, or vendor management experience* Proven experience leading end-to-end sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, supplier optimization, and vendor performance management* Strong ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders, including executive stakeholders, in complex matrixed environments* Experience partnering with finance, legal, operations, and business teams to align priorities and execute procurement strategies* Strong analytical skills with experience using data, financial modeling, and business insights to support decision-making and identify savings opportunities* Comfortable managing supplier risk, compliance, governance standards, and operational process improvements* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution* Excellent cross-functional communication, stakeholder management, and consensus-building skills* Interest in leveraging technology, automation, and AI to improve procurement processes and business outcomesJob TypeContractCompensation93 - $103
