Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper). Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials. Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
