Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver in Tacoma, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for visitors and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related activities while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.24 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and hazards to appropriate personnel. Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with site representatives and emergency responders. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
