CNC Programmer

Job Description Clarapath is seeking a full-time CNC Programmer to join our team in Hawthorne, NY 10532 in a salaried position. The role requires a SolidCAM Programmer who can create programs for a 5‑axis CNC machine and a CNC lathe, with machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment. What you’ll do: Core duties and responsibilities include the following: Fully operate a 5‑axis CNC to produce parts. Operate single or multi‑spindle machines for drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, and other operations. Use all necessary tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. Maintain work within tight tolerances and fine finishes. Perform tool offset and load parts. Follow internal process specifications for job responsibilities. Utilize appropriate PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures. Qualifications Education and Experience: 1+ years of machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent. 1+ years of CNC machine operation experience. Education and/or training in machine shop operations. Experience in a self‑directed team environment. Lean manufacturing knowledge. Technical Skills: CNC training or 1+ years experience (Haas interface preferred). Capable of producing parts with tight tolerances (25 microns / .001) and fine finishes. Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (dial calipers, protractors, micrometers, gauges). Understanding of blueprint, process sheet, and engineering drawing interpretation. Prior working knowledge of machine shop operations, tool selection, and equipment settings.
