Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education and Generalist certifications required
• Experience teaching or supporting children ages 3-5 strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of early childhood development and special education best practices
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Creative problem-solving abilities and patience to individualize instruction based on student needs
• Passion for fostering a welcoming, inclusive classroom climate

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals and abilities
• Adapt lessons to meet a variety of learning styles and developmental stages
• Track student progress and maintain detailed records of interventions and achievements
• Work collaboratively with parents, speech and occupational therapists, and administration to deliver comprehensive student support
• Create a structured, nurturing environment to promote social, emotional, and academic growth
• Manage classroom routines and behavior using positive reinforcement strategies
