Join Our Dynamic Night Shift Team as a Cardiac Telemetry Nurse!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- Unit Highlights:
- Work with a diverse patient population with diagnoses including:
- Chest Pain
- NSTEMI/STEMI
- Left/Right Heart Catheterizations
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
- Cardioversions
- Stress Tests
- Pacemaker Insertion
- Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
- Atrial Fibrillation (Afib)
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Bradycardia
- Automatic Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (AICD) Insertion
- Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) and other Tachycardias
- Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Floating: Within facility as needed
- Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Certifications Required:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Preferred Skills:
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Central Line Care/Management
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
- Management of Cardiac and Vasoactive Drips (no titration)
- Non-invasive Airway Management
- Tracheostomy Care/Management
- Patient Ratios:
- Days: 5 patients per nurse
- Nights: 5 patients per nurse
- Weekends: 5 patients per nurse
- Daily Census: 33 patients
- Interdisciplinary Support: Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
