Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive nursing services.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor, assess, and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on health management, post-discharge care, and treatment plans.
  
  
• 
  Respond swiftly to patient emergencies and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with institutional policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active PA or Compact nursing license at the time of submission.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Medical-Surgical unit.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current AHA certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS as applicable).
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably Cerner.
  
  
• 
  Be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius.
  
  
• 
  Complete all required compliance, fingerprinting, and labs within specified timelines.
