This position offers the opportunity to utilize a variety of clinical skills while supporting patients with ongoing medical and daily care needs.The ideal candidate is a compassionate and dependable nurse who is comfortable providing hands-on care and performing advanced nursing procedures.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care to patientsAdminister medications and treatmentsProvide medication educationAccurately document patient care and treatmentsPerform computer-based data entry and clinical documentationPerform advanced nursing procedures as neededProvide care involving gastrostomy tubes and enteral feedingsManage and provide care for Foley cathetersProvide tracheostomy careMonitor patient needs and communicate changes appropriatelyWork collaboratively with RN leadership and the healthcare teamFollow established nursing procedures and safety standardsRequirementsCurrent, valid Texas LVN licenseMinimum of 1 year of direct-care nursing experience; 2+ years preferredCurrent CPR certificationValid photo IDCurrent TB documentationStrong clinical and communication skillsExperience with advanced nursing procedures preferredAbility to successfully complete a urine drug screen and background checkAbility to successfully complete required FBI fingerprint background checkMust complete all required compliance requirements prior to starting the assignmentPreferred Clinical ExperienceExperience with the following is strongly preferred:Gastrostomy tubesEnteral feedingsFoley cathetersTracheostomy careMedication administrationComplex patient care
