Interventional Cardiology opening: Saginaw, MI - Located 40m to Flint and 63m to Midland Position Details

  • Seeeking a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic cardiology team.
  • The ideal candidate will bring expertise in advanced interventional procedures, including percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), management of complex coronary artery disease, and other catheter-based treatments.
  • Diagnostic and Interventional Procedures: Perform a variety of interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angioplasty, stent placement, and atherectomy, using the latest techniques and technologies to manage complex cardiovascular diseases.
  • Patient Management: Evaluate and manage patients with coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, and other cardiovascular conditions requiring interventional treatment. Collaborate with referring physicians, cardiac surgeons, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive and individualized care.
  • Use of Imaging Modalities: Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), and optical coherence tomography (OCT) for procedural guidance and optimization.
  • Catheter-Based Procedures: Manage and perform diagnostic catheterizations, as well as therapeutic interventions such as structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip) if applicable to the candidate Äôs expertise.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in the interventional cardiology on-call schedule, providing urgent care for STEMI patients and other emergent conditions.
  • Collaboration with Cardiovascular Team: Work closely with general cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and streamline care pathways.
  • Clinical Research and Program Development: Contribute to ongoing clinical trials, quality improvement initiatives, and the expansion of cardiology services. Participate in leadership opportunities and program development as the practice continues to grow.
  • Perform a wide range of interventional procedures, including but not limited to angioplasty, stenting, and catheter-based treatments for heart disease.
  • Collaborate with the cardiology and heart surgery teams to create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient Äôs needs.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and technology to assess and treat cardiovascular conditions.
  • Participate in on-call duties as part of a rotating schedule with other members of the cardiology team.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the groups cardiology program through research, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide patient education and support, ensuring that patients and their families are well-informed and comfortable with treatment plans.
  • Qualifications
  • MD/DO with board certification in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
  • Completion of a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Active or eligibility for licensure in the state of Michigan.
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
