Fire Alarm Service TechnicianEgan is seeking Fire Alarm Service Technicians for opportunities around the Greater Twin Cities area. We are looking for independent, customer-service oriented individuals who will consistently adhere to safety standards.ResponsibilitiesService and repair specified electronic life safety systems and peripheral deviceProgramming Fire Alarm Systems – Notifier experience is a plusAssist with the start-up and commissioning of new equipment or system installationTrain and instruct new users on a life safety equipmentWork with dispatch coordinators to get service requests accomplished in a timely mannerCompletion of daily communications to the office and customerPosition RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED requiredValid MN Power Limited Technician license.NICET Certification is preferred (We can assist you in attaining this certification)Knowledge of Current NFPA 72 CodeEffective interpersonal and customer service skillsPresents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance.Valid Driver's License3 year Limited Energy JATC training or equivalent in time worked in the industryCurrent IBEW Member or Willingness to join the local IBEWPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand or sit for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and carry 40 pounds (alone) or 50 to 85 pounds with assistance (team)Ability to climb a ladder and work with heightsHighly motivated and ability to multi-taskAbility to work independently with limited supervisionAttention to detail, organization, and time management skillsProficiency using hand and power tools associated with the job in a safe mannerGood hand dexterity and strengthAbility to work well with othersAbility to work overtime depending on workloadBenefitsUnion Benefit PackageCompetitive payAnnuity retirement planPension PlanMedical/Dental/Vision planCompany VehicleCompany StabilityPaid weeklyPay Rate: $38.28-$54.64 per hour (wage rate/classification as defined in the IBEW Limited Energy Minnesota Statewide Agreement).At Egan, you'll be part of a team that shares a passion for redefining the industry by setting a new standard of customer care.
