Work Environment

This position is onsite at our hospital-based clinic, allowing you to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Our facility fosters a culture of teamwork and communication, ensuring that patient care is coordinated and comprehensive. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a predictable work schedule that promotes a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans designed for each patient, focusing on improving physical function and mobility.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to meet recovery goals.
• Educate patients on appropriate exercise techniques, rehabilitation protocols, and home exercise programs to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create a holistic treatment approach for each patient.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records using our electronic health record system, ensuring all documentation is timely and compliant with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who have sustained orthopedic injuries, undergone surgery, or are managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This includes working with athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, seniors healing from joint replacements, and individuals with various orthopedic diagnoses. Your interventions will directly contribute to improving their quality of life and functional capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
• A current and active Physical Therapist Assistant state license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a PTA in an orthopedic setting.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with various treatment modalities and evidence-based practices specific to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology that pertains to physical therapy.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
