Operations Manager (International Freight)

We are hiring for an Operations Manager for a client in Greensboro with a focus on Freight Forwarding


Title - Operations Manager


Schedule - Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.


Location - Greensboro NC 27405


Pay - $70k - 85k


Industry - Freight Forwarding


Key aspects are as follows:

• Needs an operational supply chain background and leadership experience.
• Mostly supervisory role, but needs to be able to provide backup or coverage in moving freight as need.
• International logistics experience required (Air and Ocean shipments)
• Direct supervision and training of Operations Coordinators
• Onboarding new clients

Job Description


Position will be responsible for overseeing the Operations Staff (1-2 people in GSO, co-management of 3 people in Canada).


-training OP staff
-client onboarding
-building client specific SOPs
-OP team review - making sure SOPs are followed, invoices out on time, etc.
-assigning OP staff particular accounts
-backing up OP when team members are out
-being primary escalation contact
-assisting in project planning and execution
-they will need to be able to run a desk with accounts that they handle directly
