Ultrasound Technologist - Ultrasound

Description Ultrasound Technologist at Redwood Memorial Hospital in Fortuna, CA. This position is full time and will work 10-hour day shifts. Under the direction of the Department Director, supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, and in collaboration with radiologists, the Ultrasound Technologist I performs clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards for all patients served: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The technologist serves as a customer service representative to patients, families, the public, and the medical staff; participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities; serves as a clinical/technical resource for less experienced sonographers; and participates in the call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department. Required Qualifications Coursework/Training Graduate of a program in diagnostic ultrasound approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or equivalent education/experience. Completed equivalent training through self-study, on-the-job training, etc. Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a hospital-based ultrasound technologist. Pay Information The base pay range for this position is $50.54 - $64.68. Additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
