Location: MorganHill, California Travel Required: Yes – local, regional, and occasional out‑of‑area travel Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary QOVOSolutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly capable LowVoltageTechnicianIV to join our growing team in Morgan Hill, California. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical professional. The LowVoltageTechnicianIV leads and trains teams for wiring and programming of telecommunications, network, surveillance, and access control systems and performs a variety of wiring duties related to the operation of client telecommunications, network, and access control systems, including maintenance; technical analysis of malfunctions and planning of corrective action; and technical evaluation of operational requirements. The LowVoltageTechnicianIV also performs and trains teams on the wiring of high‑voltage electrical circuits in support of low‑voltage systems. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Operations Director who assigns responsibilities and sets priorities. The employee is expected to perform with a high degree of independence to include planning the work for efficiency and for avoiding unnecessary disruption of the clients’ environment. The LowVoltageTechnicianIV is responsible for the full deployment of projects including providing direction to partner technicians. Electrical trade’s work is performed independently and in conformance with local city, county, and state codes and standards of the profession. Completed work is evaluated for timeliness, completeness, documentation, code compliance, safety, and established priorities. Employees in the LowVoltageTechnicianIV tier will be evaluated on individual performance and the performance of the team members being trained. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate, Define, and Communicate Installation Project Requirements Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings of low‑voltage systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems. Maintains constant communication with clients, staff, vendors, and contractors regarding projects and orders. Identifies and analyzes alternative new products to achieve optimal solutions that satisfy cost, technical requirements, and project schedules. Prepares for all aspects of installation projects. Effectively procures project emergency‑need material. Executes travel arrangements for out‑of‑area projects within the specified budgets. Project Execution Coordinates cross‑functional teams, including sales executives, installers, vendors, and support staff through project development phase to installation completion. Oversight includes installation readiness, compliance with regulations, and driving remedy efforts if necessary. Estimates deployment timelines, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Communicates with management and sales departments if orders deviate from original planning to apply necessary change orders. Ensures adherence to all health and safety regulations from client and regulatory agencies. Communicates project status updates with clients and internal teams that keep them current with job progress, changes, and issues. Provides technical expertise for installation, repair, maintenance, and movement of wiring equipment. Installation and Process Optimization Partners with management to develop effective installation planning schedules. Has strong understanding of the requirements in the core functional areas and drives efficiency and consistency in project execution. Executes project optimization techniques and policies as directed. Ensures all safety regulations are followed during deployments and provides feedback on necessary changes or team education needs. Training Trains and develops Level I, II, & III technicians in all skill related to the installation process and internal systems. Partners with different teams and management to support all appropriate business functions. Compliance & Safety Follows company safety procedures and job site safety requirements. Maintains clean and professional work practices. Ensures installations comply with manufacturer requirements, customer standards, and low‑voltage industry best practices. Required Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of Low Voltage Installation experience. 1+ year high‑voltage experience. Strong Hands‑on Experience With IP networking Access control systems Surveillance systems Alarm systems Structured cabling Ability to independently diagnose complex system and network issues Experience configuring managed switches and network infrastructure Ability to read technical drawings and wiring schematics Strong customer communication and professionalism Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass background screening where required by customer contracts Preferred Qualifications Strong Working Knowledge of the Following Software Training and Development Mastery of conduit installation Advanced High Voltage knowledge Perform unsupervised all tasks related to project deployment Pulling Wiring RJ45 Connection Hardware Mounting Techniques Blueprint and Map analysis Wiring diagram Aerial platform operation. Network testing System Troubleshooting Mastery of Surveillance Systems Mastery of Access control systems Working knowledge of networking Client communications Adaptability Problem Solving Working Knowledge of the Following Software Microsoft Office Suite CRM software such as Salesforce or ConnectWise. Remote Management Software (TeamViewer) Verkada Command Avigilon Cloud Suite (Avigilon Alta, AltaAware) Meraki Dashboard Valid Class C California driver’s license required, including proof of vehicle insurance. Comfortable talking with and leading online teachings to customers on systems sold to them. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment while still providing quality support and driving revenue. Strong ability to self‑motivate and self‑manage. Lead customer trainings for their newly purchased systems. Maintain a flexible schedule that involves occasional work on nights and weekends.
