AP Accounting Specialist

Overview Location: Plano, TX (Park/Tollway) Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite required for first 90 days; hybrid eligibility based on performance) Reports to: Accounts Payable Manager About the Role You’ll play a key role in keeping vendor payments accurate, timely, and organized across a growing organization. We’re looking for an experienced AP professional who can thrive in a: High-volume invoice processing environment Full-cycle AP ownership from intake through payment Multi-location complexity across 100+ centers Strict accuracy expectations (targeting >99.8% accuracy) If your background is limited to low-volume, manual, or narrowly scoped AP work, this will not be the right fit. Qualifications 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a paperless environment. Proven experience handling high-volume invoice processing Experience supporting a multi-location or multi‑entity organization. Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processing. Adequate knowledge of general ledger expense coding. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must. High attention to detail with a track record of accuracy and accountability Strong communication skills with external and internal stakeholders. Ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently and with a team. Responsibilities Process high volume of internal and external supplier invoices for payment. Own full-cycle AP processing , including coding, entry, and payment deadlines. Resolve invoice discrepancies, exceptions, and rejections. Review vendor statement and reconcile open items. Request invoice copies as necessary and investigate and resolve account discrepancies. Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and issue resolution . Support month‑end close deadlines , including follow‑ups on approvals. Maintain and monitor shared AP inbox. Coordinate vendor onboarding (W9, ACH, supplier setup requests). Manage utility billing portals across multiple locations. Track and maintain recurring monthly utility expenses. Ensure accurate GL coding and accounting date updates . #J-18808-Ljbffr
