As a Radiographer, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging while helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience. You will work with patients of all ages while collaborating closely with physicians and the care team. What you will do includes adhering to hospital safety standards, following ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely standards, and consistently following hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety. You will demonstrate successful patient/technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. You will provide age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics, perform all applicable equipment quality control, and accurately record all requested database/log records. You will display a commitment to hospital mission and core values, maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (HIPAA) and facility policies, and maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.

Additional responsibilities include effectively following directions to maintain compliance with state and federal agencies, maintaining competency skill levels for patient exam imaging, and effectively following directions to maintain department readiness based on DNV standards. You will be proficient at instructing students and new staff after one year of experience, demonstrate the ability to work independently, and use administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department by entering and completing correct billing codes in the RIS.

Qualifications include an associate's degree completion of an accredited two-year program in a school of Radiologic Technology with appropriate certification. Previous registered x-ray technologist experience is preferred. Skills and abilities include clear knowledge of x-ray equipment (digital/analog), image printers, computers, PACS, and radiology information system. You must demonstrate effective organizational, written and oral communication skills and excellent customer service skills. You must use a variety of equipment specific to the area, including C-arms, portables, and various computers. You must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, ability to perform procedures specific to the area, and ability to work independently.

Licenses and certifications required include registered technologist radiography (ARRT-R) American Registry of Radiological Technologists, registered radiologic technologist (RT:R) Ohio Department of Health, and basic life support (BLS).
