Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Testing PositionTravel Required: Up to 10%Clearance Required: Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using relevant testing frameworks to validate application functionality across multiple user roles and workflows.Design and implement UI automation using tools such as Playwright, ensuring automated test coverage is reliable, maintainable, and aligned with release objectives.Lead test automation initiatives, including the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.Conduct peer reviews of test automation code to promote quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering best practices.Communicate test execution results, defects, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders during each release cycle.What You Will Need:Minimum of four (4) years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or application development for enterprise systems.At least two (2) years of experience providing quality assurance and testing support for AWS-based workloads.Bachelor's degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.Demonstrated experience performing manual and automated testing, including defect documentation, issue reproduction, regression testing, and validation.Strong experience developing test automation using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript, along with API testing, performance testing, Swagger, and Postman.Experience designing, maintaining, and integrating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with AWS services such as Systems Manager and PostgreSQL.Proficiency testing applications and workloads built with AWS services and technologies, including Vue.js, Python, Django, and Amazon S3.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with, mentoring, and supporting team members to resolve complex technical issues.Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including planning, testing, and supporting iterative software releases.Ability to test and validate workloads against AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and related quality standards.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
