About This Role

We are seeking a Preschool Teacher to join our team at Laceys Littles Childcare and Learning Center, a play-based childcare center that prioritizes child-led learning and empathic relationships. As a full-time teacher, you will work 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, and be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that stimulates learning and growth. • Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters child-led learning and play-based activities
• Establish a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Manage classroom activities, including lessons, playtime, breaks, and meals, to ensure a smooth and productive day
• Monitor and track children's progress, providing regular updates to parents
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration
• Provide opportunities for children to develop social skills through interactive activities and games
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children at all times, adhering to health/safety and sanitation procedures
• Facilitate creative activities, such as storytelling, songs, and games, to promote cognitive development and imagination
• Maintain accurate records of classroom materials and supplies, including inventory management

Must have a valid driver's license

Experience in childcare is required

Must be able to pass a background check

High school diploma or higher

Previous experience in Pre-K teaching is a plus
