Description
  • Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standard assessments and hands-on observational approaches.
  • Design individualized treatment regimens that incorporate both immediate and extended communication, cognition, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing safety.
  • Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop an integrated care strategy.
  • Provide essential education to patients and their families to support therapeutic progress and encourage practice outside of sessions.
  • Engage in sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, sustaining a consistent care pathway throughout treatment stages.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation that aligns with all state, federal, and organizational mandates.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in your field through continuous learning and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if not ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory within your first 30 days of employment.
