Our project experience includes commercial, single-family residential, multi-family residential, and public works infrastructure. Estimator Position Overview An Estimator should have heavy civil construction skills and an experience in estimating commercial & private development projects. Ideally, will have experience with wet utilities construction that includes water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, concrete structures, duct bank, etc. Responsibilities Estimating self‑performed projects which typically range up to 20 million dollars; including pricing labor, equipment, and material costs. Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases. Ability to produce detailed, accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings. Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate. Identify constructability issues through the estimating process. Identify and propose value‑engineering alternatives. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred (Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar) 1 - 3+ years heavy civil estimating Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel HCSS/Planswift/Bluebeam Experience Preferred Strong organization and planning skills Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines What You Get from Working at Moss An incredible culture built on our core values.
