Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - CICU

• Titrate vesicant medications and manage pressors
• Provide sedation, manage paralytics, and care for patients with ventilators
• Interpret telemetry, hemodynamics, and set up PA Catheters
• Perform transvenous pacing, cardioversion, and TEE
• Manage chest tube insertions and maintenance

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - CICU

• Experience with titration of vesicant meds and familiarity with pressors
• Proficient in sedation, paralytics, and ventilation management
• Strong understanding and interpretation skills in telemetry and hemodynamics
• Advanced skills in IABP, Impella, and CRRT are desirable
• No specific certifications required; CCRN recommended
