Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology position requiring RCIS or ARRT (R) certification and 2+ years of IR tech experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology Lab setting
- Supports cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs during interventional procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- No weekend shift requirement, but rotating night and weekend call required
- Wide range of procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular studies
- Uses Siemens fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and PACS equipment
Requirements
- RCIS or ARRT (R) certification required; CA radiology technologist license required if applicable
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Fluoroscopy permit required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an IR Technologist
- Prior travel experience required
- Skilled in vascular closure systems, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and equipment set-up
- Experience with IVUS preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient monitoring, room circulating, scrubbing in, and assisting with a wide variety of vascular, neurological, and genitourinary procedures
- May mentor and train students
- Adheres to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Accepts local candidates at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request allowed per contract
- Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
