Job Title: CT Technologist

Certifications: BLS, ARRT (CT)
Must-Have: Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with the organization within the past year.


Description:
Profiles go directly over to the manager for consideration.
A copy of the driver's license is needed at the time of submission to validate the legal name.
Pulse must reflect the name on a government-issued ID, without any middle initial or middle name.
Candidates may need to float between campuses as needed.
Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination.
May be asked to precept as needed by the unit.
Department is Radiology (CT).
Unit will provide the radiation dosimetry badge.
Scanners include 3 (1 ER, 2 Main).
No floating required.
Types of studies performed are CTs with and without contrast.
Experience in ER and inpatient settings is required.
Average number of scans per day is 16 to 24.
EMR and PACS systems used are Meditech and Fuji.
Department is equipped with 3 GE scanners (one 16-slice and 2 64-slice).
No radiologist assistant presence required.
Radiologists are in-house during the day and virtually available at night for emergencies.
The position requires starting IVs.
Weekends are included, every other weekend.
Holidays will be rotated in with permanent staff as needed.
Call may be required and will be discussed during the interview.
The response time for call is 30 minutes.
The call rotation is every 6th week.
If the off-week rotation falls on Monday through Wednesday, the call will be from 5 PM to 6 AM.
If the off-week rotation falls from Thursday to Sunday, the call will be from Thursday 5 PM to 6 AM, Friday 5 PM to 7 AM, Saturday 7 AM to 7 AM, and Sunday 7 AM to 6 AM.
Scrubs need to be black and are not provided.
Department-specific orientation is available.
The cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
Charting system used is MEDITECH.
BSN is not required.
