Tax Associate Attorney/Counsel

Overview Tax Associate Attorney (Mid-Level or Senior) Location: Dallas–Fort Worth (Hybrid) or Fully Remote Compensation: $150K–$188K base + generous quarterly bonuses Responsibilities Structure and implement advanced transactional tax strategies Advise on and support: M&A and tax-efficient restructurings Partnership and corporate structuring QSBS (Section 1202) planning Reorganizations and recapitalizations Draft and review: Tax memoranda Transactional documents and implementation plans Collaborate with corporate attorneys, CPAs, and advisors on complex, multi-party transactions (Senior level) Lead client relationships, manage matters end-to-end, and mentor junior attorneys Qualifications 4–8 years (mid-level) OR 8+ years (senior) tax experience Strong background in transactional tax planning and drafting Experience with partnerships, corporate structuring, and deal execution LL.M. in Taxation preferred (or equivalent experience) Big 4 or accounting firm experience welcomed (substantive planning required) Ability to work independently with precision, ownership, and strong execution discipline Licensed in Texas or eligible for admission Why This Role Stands Out No rigid billable hour requirement Transparent, objective bonus structure with significant upside Work on complex, intellectually engaging tax strategies—not compliance Hybrid or fully remote flexibility Clear path for leadership, growth, and practice development Collaborative culture with direct partner access and meaningful responsibility The Bottom Line This is an ideal role for a technically strong tax attorney who wants to do high-level, impactful work in a modern, growth-oriented firm—without the constraints of traditional BigLaw models.
