Payroll Manager
Full-time
Kforce's client, a mission-driven, multi-entity organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead complex domestic and international payroll operations. You will oversee federal, state, and local payroll taxes, filings, reconciliations, and year-end reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical payroll expertise with a customer service-oriented leadership style. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead accurate and timely payroll processing for domestic and international employees
- Manage payroll accounting, general ledger interfaces, accruals, audits, and internal controls
- Supervise, train, and develop payroll staff
- Administer payroll systems and manage third-party vendors
- Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues
- Support specialized compensation, including clergy and international employee arrangements
- Identify opportunities to strengthen compliance, efficiency, and service quality
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Six or more years of accounting or payroll experience, including at least three years using an automated payroll system
- Payroll leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and reporting requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- CPP certification preferred
- International payroll, and other payroll programs is a plus
