Inpatient General Surgery Registered Nurse – Day/Night Rotating

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Day/Night Rotating Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care for general surgery patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor and assess patient status pre- and post-operatively, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 1 facility
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Experience in medical-surgical or inpatient general surgery nursing
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in high-acuity or complex surgical patient populations
• Strong adaptability and ability to quickly integrate into new clinical environments
