About This Role The Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Urology position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Highlights Location: Syosset, NY Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status through interviews and comprehensive health assessments. Evaluate the patient’s psychosocial health status and identify cultural/ethnic requirements. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes and establish individualized patient goals. Formulate and document the plan of care in collaboration with health team members. Implement the plan of care, ensuring safety precautions and effective communication. Evaluate care provided and document effectiveness for performance improvement. Collaborate with care team members and assist physicians during treatments and procedures. Provide wound care and manage pressure ulcers (Stages I–IV). Administer medications correctly and educate patients on drug interactions. Participate in patient and family education, ensuring understanding and follow-up care. Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience 1-2 years of inpatient/outpatient experience preferred. Urology experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required. Specialized certifications as needed.
