Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Meat Cutter role located in Kansas City, KS. The Meat Cutter prepares, trims, cuts, and portions various meats and poultry according to specifications, ensuring accuracy in weight, quality, and presentation. Daily tasks include operating cutting and processing equipment safely, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and following standardized recipes and cutting guides. The role also involves monitoring product quality, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, labeling and packaging products, and communicating with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules. The Meat Cutter may also assist with inventory checks, receiving product, and supporting customer service needs for custom orders. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong butchery and meat processing skills, including cutting, trimming, and portioning different types of meats. Candidates should have experience working with poultry and understanding species-specific handling and cutting techniques. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of food safety practices, including sanitation, safe equipment operation, and compliance with HACCP or similar standards. Candidates should have basic customer service skills to support custom orders and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders. Attention to detail in weights, cuts, and labeling, with the ability to follow written specifications and production schedules. Ability to work on feet for extended periods, handle repetitive tasks, and lift products and boxes within reasonable weight limits. Previous experience in a meat cutting, grocery, food manufacturing, or food service environment is preferred.
