What you’ll handle

• Set up and run engine and large CNC lathes to machine castings, forgings, plates, bars, and custom one-offs.
• Hold specified dimensions and tight tolerances on large parts.
• Program and edit at the control to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
• Inspect with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision tools to meet quality standards.

What it takes

• 3–5 years of machining experience or equivalent technical training.
• 3–5 years setting up CNC and manual lathes.
• Programming experience preferred (comfortable editing/creating programs).
• Consistent quality in fast-paced, production-driven work.
• Strong problem-solving and team orientation.

Military experience welcomed

• Army MOS: 91E – Allied Trades Specialist
• Navy NEC: MM – Machinist’s Mate
• Air Force AFSC: 2A7X1 – Aircraft Metals Technology
• Marine Corps MOS: 1316 – Metal Worker
• Coast Guard Rating: MK – Machinery Technician
