AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking experienced Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists (DRTs) to provide on-site diagnostic imaging services in support of Veterans receiving care through the VA New Jersey Health Care System at the Toms River Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC).

We are currently seeking qualified technologists in the following specialties:

• CT Technologist
• MRI Technologist
• DEXA / General Radiography Technologist
• Ultrasound / Sonography Technologist

Key Responsibilities (depending on your assigned imaging specialty):
• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with established protocols, including CT, MRI, general radiography/DEXA, or ultrasound studies.
• Prepare, position, and safely assist patients throughout imaging procedures while maintaining patient comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Review imaging requests, follow appropriate examination protocols, and produce diagnostic-quality images that meet technical and clinical standards.
• Perform applicable contrast-enhanced and non-contrast examinations and operate imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation within VA electronic health record and imaging systems, including reviewing pending cases and documenting delays or outstanding examinations when required.
• Follow all applicable radiation safety, MRI safety, infection prevention, patient safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
• Maintain required certifications, continuing education, competencies, and mandatory VA training.
• Specific responsibilities will vary by modality and may include CT examinations and 3-D reconstruction; MRI examinations, coils, contrast and power injectors; X-ray, fluoroscopy, digital radiography/PACS and bone-density studies; or abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, vascular and other applicable ultrasound studies.

Qualifications:
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice Radiologic Technology in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia, as applicable.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the applicable advanced imaging modality.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently within your specialty while adhering to VA standards, applicable ARRT/ARDMS guidelines, and healthcare regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain excellent attention to detail in a patient-care environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must successfully complete the AMI credentialing process.

Certification Requirements by Specialty:
• CT Technologist: Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R), Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
• MRI Technologist: Current ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) for independent MRI duties
• DEXA / General Radiography Technologist: Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
• Ultrasound / Sonography Technologist: Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through ARDMS in the applicable specialty, including abdomen, breast, and/or OB/GYN
