Distribution Manager

Position Summary The Distribution Manager is responsible for leading and managing distribution operations. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing and shipment of customer orders, maintaining a high standard of service and efficiency throughout the distribution lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Distribution teams to ensure orders are fulfilled and shipped accurately and on time. Drive process improvements to enhance fulfillment speed, accuracy, and efficiency. Monitor distribution workflow and order processing systems to ensure service‑level expectations are met. Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and performance of all distribution employees, including full‑time and temporary team members. Create, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to distribution operations. Ensure team adherence to company safety practices and cleanliness standards in distribution work areas. Partner cross‑functionally with the rest of the Operations and Customer Success teams to align distribution priorities. Provide daily and weekly reporting on order volumes, team performance, and distribution metrics. Identify and resolve issues that may cause delays in order distribution. May perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility This position has direct reports. Position Requirements Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in leading teams in industrial environments, with a strong preference for a background in customized manufacturing solutions. Other Job Requirements Must be able to work in hot and cold climates. Varying work schedules based on business need are sometimes required. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to operate a computer keyboard. Ability to read a variety of materials. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
